Business Engineering Manager, Business AI

Our team is looking for a Business Engineering Manager to drive work from ideation to implementation and future iterations. As a Business Engineering Manager on the Business AI team, you will play a leading role in the AI and Advertising industries by building new products and enabling Meta to realize the full potential of those products while also leading and managing a team of forward deployed Business Engineers. This role will allow you to apply problem solving, leading, and consulting cross-functional leaders on creating and executing a strategy, leading a team of Engineers, and growing their careers.Meta's Business Engineering team is formed of problem solvers and software engineers and collaborate with clients to understand their challenges and architect end-to-end solutions. We are at the cross function of business and engineering helping Meta's marketing partners succeed and reach their business goals with Meta products, by finding technological solutions to meet their needs.Business Engineering Manager, Business AI ResponsibilitiesManage and scale a collaborative team by attracting and mentoring people at various levels of experienceCommunicate across functions, influence the roadmap and product developmentBring unique insights from industry verticals and audience segments to fill a void that exists in our platformUnderstand business challenges to define and drive strategies to help businesses grow at scaleHelp clients and partners to be successful on the platform through consulting or building scaled solutionsManage team performance, including coaching for career growth, and create a healthy team environmentCascade team goals and proactively provide resources required to achieve goals while removing roadblocks along the waySet clear expectations for all team members and provide guidance on performance goalsDesign and build end-to-end systems and launch-plan strategiesConduct code reviews and provide thoughtful, meaningful, and constructive feedbackWillingness to travel 10-15% of the timeMinimum Qualifications10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years of experience managing a team of engineersB.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degreeExperience working with large language models, agentic AI, and/or related AI/ML technologies. Experience using AI to build software products and building AI and agents in productionExperience designing, building, and iterating on scalable software platforms, applications, and taking products from zero to one, as well as scaling products beyond that phaseExperience building consensus within cross-functional organizationsExperience influencing and effectively communicating with technical, non-technical, and leadership audiencesExperience working with customers and b2b developmentExperience operating in ambiguous environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a startup or similar early stage companyExperience managing a distributed team with multiple rolesKnowledge of the AI, advertising, and social media landscape globallyExperience working with global teamsExperience with agile software development methodologies For those who live in or expect to work from California if hired for this position, please click here for additional information.
