bolt is looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our growing AI & Data Analytics team. You'll work alongside our technical leadership to build data-driven solutions that power intelligent decision-making across our insurance platform.
In this role, you'll focus on extracting insights from complex datasets, building predictive models, and developing analytical solutions that directly impact our customers' success. You'll work within our sophisticated, multi-tenant SaaS platform, contributing to both traditional machine learning applications and cutting-edge GenAI solutions.

You will be responsible for…
Data Analysis & Modeling
Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights in insurance and business data
Build and validate predictive models for risk assessment, customer behavior, and business optimization
Perform statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and causal inference to support business decisions
Develop anomaly detection systems and behavioral analysis models
Machine Learning Development
Design and implement machine learning models using Python and modern ML frameworks
Contribute to GenAI and LLM applications, including RAG-based systems and NLP solutions
Build and maintain data pipelines for model training and inference
Optimize model performance through feature engineering and hyperparameter tuning
Data Engineering & Infrastructure
Work with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Hive) to process large-scale datasets
Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data preparation and model serving
Collaborate on MLOps practices including model versioning, monitoring, and deployment
Build APIs and integrations to serve model predictions to business applications
Business Impact & Collaboration
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions
Create clear, actionable reports and visualizations for stakeholders
Present findings and model results to both technical and non-technical audiences
Support data-driven decision making across the organization
Research & Innovation
Stay current with latest developments in data science, ML, and AI technologies
Experiment with new techniques and methodologies to improve model performance
Contribute to the team's knowledge base and best practices

You will require the following qualifications and skills
Education & Experience
Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling
Proven experience building and deploying ML models in production environments
Programming & Data
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
Experience with data manipulation libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
Proficiency in statistical analysis and hypothesis testing
Machine Learning & AI
Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar)
Knowledge of deep learning and modern ML techniques
Hands-on experience with GenAI and foundation models (preferred: AWS Bedrock, Databricks)
Experience building NLP applications (text classification, chatbots, document processing)
Understanding of RAG architectures and LLM fine-tuning
Data & Infrastructure
Experience with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or similar)
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS strongly preferred, Azure, GCP)
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
Basic understanding of MLOps practices and model deployment
Familiarity with REST APIs and data integration
Statistical & Analytical Skills
Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and experimental design
Experience with A/B testing and causal inference methods
Knowledge of predictive modeling and time series analysis
Understanding of model evaluation metrics and validation techniques
