INNOVATION IS IMAGINING WHAT NO ONE ELSE CAN.
Artificial Intelligence and machine learning are at the cutting edge when it comes to shaping next-gen mobility in areas like automated driving. But it takes real intellectual leadership and expertise to identify and then harness the AI trends and technologies that will transform the way people travel for good.
Simulating advanced driver assistance functions is essential for validating these systems and for generating synthetic data to train end‑to‑end driving stacks. As AI models rapidly gain importance within simulation workflows, this role places you at the center of next‑generation virtual development. Your focus will be on AI‑based 3D reconstruction of real‑world driving scenes and the development of AI models for intelligent, human‑like traffic participants.
What awaits you?
- You evaluate and select state‑of‑the‑art GenAI models to enhance simulation performance.
- Furthermore, you design and operate a scalable training and MLOps infrastructure, including distributed training, automated evaluation pipelines, and optimized cloud/on‑prem compute usage.
- Additionally, you optimize our GPU toolchain, scheduling, profiling, and resource allocation, to ensure fast and reproducible training cycles.
- Moreover, you contribute to the simulation of driver assistance systems and evaluate simulation quality with respect to the toolchain and model behavior.
- You work closely with an agile, interdisciplinary engineering team.
What should you bring along?
- University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Physics, or comparable qualifications.
- You have several years of experience in ML Engineering or MLOps, ideally with hands‑on expertise in quantization, model compression, experiment design, ablations, data quality, metrics & evaluation or architecture optimization.
- A deep understanding of modern AI model architectures, training pipelines, distributed learning, and GPU optimization is part of your profile.
- You are confident working with synthetic data, augmentation strategies, and data‑driven model downsizing.
- Engineering: Python (plus C++/Rust), CUDA, API design, testing, debugging across the stack, Git.
- 3D Authoring: Knowledge in tools like Blender, glTF, Unreal, RoadRunner is a plus.
- Additionally, knowledge in 3D scene creation or algorithmic 3D reconstruction is a plus.
